  1. Slide 2 - Your analyse of generic characteristic of hip hop video is unfortunately very limited. Your aim is to carry out detailed textual analysis of several hip hop videos in order to establish what many have in common. In terms of the use of common mise en scene including use of typical locations and settings, props, costume, use of actors, dancers, facial gestures and body language. Essential it is those key characteristics which if the volume was down, your audiences could guess it was a hip hop video.
Extra marks will be secured if you make links between specific genre characteristics and target audiences expectations and pleasure.
Slide 2 - is the relationship illustrative, amplified or contradictory? You must apply Good win's theory if you are to be level 4. Also you should be using a lot more screen grabs, especially ones that support what you are actually claiming.
Slide 4 - Far too basically done - please look at examples on blog.
Slide 5 Better done but again not enough screen grabs. What types of framing was typical used and what aspects about the artist performance was captured. Try to be more exact about how and the frequency by which the artist appeared on screen. You mention women are waiting for the artist backstage..... how does this fit into the convention of hip hop and help sell and/or establish the artist?
Your analyse is limited in parts and requires a more in-depth analyse which always considers the selling of the artist and appeal to the target audience.
    Level 2
