Beyonce - Single Ladies vs Rihanna - Umbrella

With these two videos, i was observing the amount of cuts there was in the videos. In the first 30 seconds of each video, Rihanna had around 90+ cuts, where as Beyonce only had 1. This shows that her video has challenge the normal music video convention and she showed that it worked, she used lighting to help keep the audience engaged. Rihanna used different layers with many cuts to help keep the audience engaged.

This video is all about performance, showing beyonce and her dancers just showing alot of skin (because 'Sex Sells'). She is also doing this because she wants to advertise herself, she wants to advertise all her talent so that she can increase her fan base.
